Iphone 4 vs HTC Sensation

Apple has been the unquestioned leader of innovation and HTC is fast catching up as one of the most preferred brands by customers all over the world! In today’s review, we put these bulls to fight with their latest creations, the HTC Sensation and the Apple iPhone 4. Comparing these phones was a feast in itself and demanded much more scrutiny than normal because they are simply incomparable with one another!

Ergonomics:
The design aspect of Apple is always indubitably excellent and it is the same with the case of the iPhone too. Measuring about 115.2 mm in length, 58.6 mm in breadth and 9.3 mm in thickness, this baby turns out to be efficacious in the battle of sizes against the monstrous Sensation which features dimensions of 126.1 mm lengthwise, 65.4 mm breadthwise and 11.3 mm in thickness. The Sensation also weighs more (148g) than the sleek iPhone 4 (137g). The LED backlit display of the iPhone 4 has always been regarded as a masterpiece and that is far better than the S-LCD capacitive touchscreen of the Sensation. The Sensation’s screen, however, is much larger than the iPhone’s at 4.3” against 3.5” of the Apple’s sweetheart.
Operating System:
What else do you expect when it’s Apple? An iOS, of course, is what powers the iPhone 4. And obviously, an Android v2.3 can be found on the Sensation. In addition to these powerful operating systems, they are powered by equally agile processors. The Sensation runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor fitted with an Adreno 220 GPU and a Qualcomm chipset. The iPhone, on the other hand, runs on a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and a Power VR GPU.
Memory:
Apple, I fear, is going to learn that microSD card slot is an integral feature that every smartphone should possess, in a hard way. It’s internal memory is decent, all right, but a microSD card slot is a very handy tool. The Sensation has an internal memory of 1 GB supported by a 768 MB RAM and has a microSD slot extendable up to 32GB. In the iPhone, the internal memory is as roomy as 16/32 GB and a 512 MB RAM supports that memory.
Connectivity:
These devices, above all, are phones. So irrespective of the memory slots that they boast of, it is imperative that they function well as devices of communication. Fortunately, they seem to be chiseled well for the task. With GSM 850/900/1800/1900 for 2G networks and HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 for 3G on both the phones, the phones seem to have state-of-the-art communication facets. In addition to these features, they also have EDGE and GPRS capabilities, which help in surfing the internet. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n is fitted on to both the phones.
Camera:
The Sensation has an extremely good 8MP camera compared to the mediocre 5MP shooter of the iPhone. The video recording of the Sensation is also profoundly better than that of the iPhone as it can shoot videos at 1080 pixels against the 720 pixels of its counterpart. A number features adorn the cameras of both the phones. Both of them have secondary cameras to assist anterior shooting and video calls.
Battery:
Come on, again, it’s Apple. It’s batteries are unsurpassable. That’s what we thought but HTC’s battery is better as it has a standard lithium ion 1520 mAh battery against a 1420 mAh one of the iPhone.
